Florida Adventures

During the summer, I was lucky enough to return to Orlando, Florida with my best friend. The sunshine state didn't disappoint, providing us with 2 weeks of blissful sun rays with only one or three days of torrential rain as we caught the edge of a hurricane.

I love the idea of planes, and everyone knows I know more than is necessary about planes, thanks to my dad's love of them growing up. However, when it comes to long haul flights, I'd rather not. If it wasn't for the in flight entertainment, I would've been bored out of mind! It was actually a really empty flight so we had full roam of the plane once it was up in the air.
When we landed, it was quite late at night so we didn't get to see much of our surroundings but we could feel the heat! Coming from rainy and cold England to a hot, humid and somewhat sticky feeling country is how you know your holiday has begun.

In the morning, we woke up at like 4am - jet lag is a bitch.
Wasn't all bad though, we got to make the most of it and watch the sun rise by the pool which was stunning!
Of course, when in Florida, you have to make the most of the parks - both Disney and Universal and everything in between! Feeling like a little kid again, we chose the parks we wanted to do and went all out.

Meeting the disney characters was a dream come true if I'm honest. They don't call it Magic Kingdom for nothing...

The Hard Rock Cafe has always been one of my favourite tourists spots and would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone! If you do get the chance to go, make sure you check out all the bits and bobs on display - it's like a museum crossed with a restaurant, what more could you want?!

Adding to list of food places I loved, Pat O'Brien's Bar, The Cheesecake Factory and The House of Blues are up there in the my top 5 places to eat. I literally entered a food coma after house of blues...that's not even an exaggeration...

Another favourite destination has to be Coco beach! I definitely got sunburnt on this day - make sure to take suncream kiddos.
